Each speaker in the Stage 2 series features Polycellulose ribbed cone woofers. This pure pulp cone has a proprietary mix of other materials added to improve its rigidity and the ribs echo legendary JBL designs. These woofers produce deep, accurate, room filling bass.
Through intense research of previous waveguide designs, JBL has developed a new complex geometry that improves directivity, reduced diffraction, and an overall neutral frequency response both on and off axis. The Stage 2 HDI Horn is coupled to an anodized aluminum dome tweeter to enhance efficiency and dynamics.
The 245C center channel model features a unique two and a half-way crossover design. This unique design crosses over the top woofer right below the tweeter’s output, while the other woofer is crossed over at a lower frequency. This creates a dynamic mid-range but both woofers still extend as deep as they can go for powerful bass. This produces cohesive balanced output with a robust low end that can be both heard and felt.
Designed and engineered at our world-famous Acoustic Engineering Center of Excellence in Northridge, California, the Stage 220P is 500W and is the most powerful subwoofer in the Stage Series and delivers the low frequency excitement that customers crave. This subwoofer features a high excursion 12-inch (300mm) Polycellulose low-frequency woofer with dual rear firing tuned ports that provides deep, powerful, signature JBL bass. A full complement of controls provides for easy system integration.
